Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores made a presentation entitled “Philippine Consulate General Presents Palawan: The World’s Best Island”. The presentation served to drum up interest among media representatives and travel/tour operators in Fujian in connection with the launching of Xiamen – Palawan charter flights in February 2018 in cooperation with C&D International Travel Group held at the C&D Tourist Experience Center, Xiamen City on 24 November 2017.
The presentation generated great enthusiasm and keen interest among the various tour operators, travel agency and media representatives. The scheduled flights coincide with the Chinese New Year which is considered as another opportunity to open and bolster the Philippines as a tourist destination to the Fujian market.
Consul General Flores expressed appreciation to C&D for taking the initiative to work with Philippine Airlines (PAL) to launch the charter flights. Consul General Flores also encouraged airlines to open more air links between Fujian cities and the Philippines to enhance opportunities for trade, business, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, in further deepening relations between the Philippines and Fujian province.
